Outlaw Iron Man 2011 Fundraising

As you are probably all aware our two intrepid committee members, Robert and Colin, are competing in this year's Outlaw Triathlon in Nottingham on 24 July (only four months away!). This is no mean feat as it is an Ironman distance event covering a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile run!

They are both training hard putting in a lot of hours every week so that they are in the best shape possible on the day. Our Rob is rapidly becoming a shadow of his former self and both are looking very strong and fit already.

As part of the challenge they have decided to raise money for MND Scotland. MND and MND Scotland are the only charities providing care and support for people with MND and their carers, while also funding research into the disease. Motor Neurone Disease stops the nerve cells that control the body's movement from sending messages to muscles. MND is often rapid and always fatal. There is no known cure.
